Weekly Recap: Decoded

In honor of International Talk Like A Pirate Day, I have decided to create a posting in Pirate Talk, however, I want to know when International Talk Like A Ninja Day is; perhaps it is a day of silence? =)

Where I left off was planning. Planning our trip; I don’t really have a whole lot new to report on that, but I can catch you up on the past week at least.

The munchkin and I spent a lot of good old quality time together. It was really nice. When I was sick with the vestibular neuritis, she didn’t want to do anything but hang out with me on the couch, and she wouldn’t stop trying to help out around the house. It was very heartwarming. Now that I am feeling better, she still wants to keep that up. One of the greatest things about having a child is the love between you two. We both have built-in personal cheerleaders! She keeps me motivated to climb on my elliptical and stick to my goals, work on art projects, etc. and I continue to encourage her creativity and thirst for knowledge. It is an amazing exchange.

In the work department, last week was fairly uneventful. Not much to report. I came in and did stuff. ‘Nuff said.

Home life was a little rocky over the past weekend, but it is one thing that my boyfriend’s move will rectify. Messengers and other forms of textual conversations can get misconstrued, which can cause feelings to be hurt that aren’t easily remedied from 1400 miles away, but since we communicate well together, by Sunday, it was cleared up and we moved on. It panned out and became a nice Sunday together.

I can even admit that if certain circumstances had not happened and other things had gone differently, we may not have such an open and honest relationship built on trust and our combined strength. We are very lucky. It is like my favorite quote:

“An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances.”

Over time, we may have been stretched or tangled in others thread, separated by time and certainly by conflicting places, but we have always been connected. Now, we finally get to follow the thread to meet in the middle.

To go all Disney, we are like the Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene! =)

Well, not much left to say for this entry, but I will try to get up some pictures of some of the drawing I did over the weekend this evening, maybe, or tomorrow. I did finally get my turpentine and some new, fresh canvas, so I may do a study on some of the tattoo concepts that I have been working through.

Until next time, be good to yourself and be good to the people around you. Those that are fortunate to keep your company are surely deserving of respect and kindness.
